Finde ich gerade auch schwierig, da der LLB nicht mehr aktuell herausgegeben wird.

Mittwoch war es wohl noch gefährlicher, jetzt ist dann aber Samstag und der Schnee konnte sich ja gut setzen. Wird wohl gerade so noch gefrieren bei Nacht. Darf ich jetzt über die deutlich sichtbaren Wechten abfahren?
Da wär dann die Gefahr von Sharks ziemlich gebannt. Außerdem bin ich weiter weg von den umliegenden Steilhängen und die Chance von einer Nassschneelawine erwischt zu werden sinkt...

Irgendwie tue ich mir hier gerade echt schwer, ist doch was anderes als auf den Llb zurückgreifen zu können.

After losing so many friends, I always wince when I hear their names being used as words of encouragement—Trevor would do it, Alex would do it, Shane would do it. I don’t know. I’ve never actually conversed with the deceased, but I’m guessing that most of them, from the other side of the grave, would say dying is not worth it. Chill out, wait for perfect conditions, come back tomorrow, enjoy time with your family, expand your horizons, pet a dog or simply enjoy the moment. Risking your life is obviously a personal choice, but it has real, long-lasting consequences for those who are left behind.

Finde es aber schon ein wenig merkwürdig, dass er nicht schon vorher

schöner Artikel von Herrn McLean. Da hats einer begriffen. Klar, passieren kann trotzdem immer was, das liegt in der Natur der Sache. Als volkswirtschaftlich Interessierter muss ich allerdings die Weisheit anmerken: in the long run, we're all dead.

Aus der Sicht des Biologen möchte ich anmerken: Unfalltod ist eine der wenigen nachweislich sicher funktionierenden prophylaktischen Maßnahmen gegen Krebs.

Ich glaube, Zorro bezog sich auf die überholte Bezeichnung von E11/Typ2 Diabetes mellitus als "Altersdiabetes"

Der beugt ein Unfalltod in frühen Jahren wohl auch vor. Als Sportler und wenn man nicht einen Maradona oder Ronaldo hinlegt, ist da die Prädestinierung allerdings doch eher gering.
