Vieles was du über den Ski geschrieben hast erinnert mich an den Rossi S7, der AMP dürfte aber deiner Beschreibung nach doch etwas tempofester, und besser im zerspurten und auf harter Piste sein, dafür gibts beim S7 eigentlich keine tipdives.

hm, den s7 kenn ich nicht so gut, aber hat schon ein etwas niedrigeres tempolimit als der AMP. im zerfahrenen bin ich den s7 nicht gefahren, aber so schlecht wird der da ja nicht sein... und auf der piste ist der amp wie gesagt schon ok, aber irgendwie komisch.

Schöner Bericht. Ich hatte den AMP Anfang der Saison auch im Auge mich dann aber wegen der kurzen Länge für den 192 zealot entschieden vom dem ich total begeistert bin. Bist du den zufällig mal zum Vergleich gefahren? Der soll ja etwas weniger verspielt und dafür tempofester sein. Besonders bei treeruns hätte ich mir teilweise den AMP gewünscht dafür hatte ich aber auch genug Situationen in denen ich den zealot nicht her gegeben hätte

bin mal nen älteren zealot gefahren und den fand ich persönlich nicht so prickelnd. da wäre der amp in etwas länger sicher tempofester und gleichzeitig schönes sowie leichter zu fahren...
wies mit dem neuen zealot ist weiss ich nicht, der soll sich ja auch druchaus verbessert haben. der amp ist aber wie gesagt durchaus tempofest, in 195 würde der mir locker für die höchsten geschwindigkeiten die ich je erreiche genügen.

Im Rahmen eines BD Skitest konnte ich den Ski auch ein paar Tage testen. Ich hänge mich mit meinem Testbericht einfach mal an. Interessant dürfte für einige sein, das ich den Ski in manchen Punkten anders als freak bewerte, letztlich aber zu einen recht ähnlichem Fazit komme. Da kommen wohl Fahrkönnen, Vorlieben, aber vor allem Größe und Gewicht ins Spiel.

33 Jahre, 180cm, 90kg. Flachlandtiroler, sportlich fit, auf Ski konditionell aber nicht der Stärkste. Auf zwei Brettern seit über 30 Jahren, ernsthaft Offpiste unterwegs seit ca. 10 Jahren, leider zu wenig Skitage (25-30) pro Winter, davon meist etwa 60% Powdertage.
Im Gelände eher defensiv unterwegs, wo es passt werden die Ski aber auch gerne mal laufen gelassen. Mag dichten Wald genauso wie weite Hänge. Auf der Piste flott unterwegs, kein Park, kein rumgehüpfe.

Mag Ski die spielerisch fahren und nicht viele Körner kosten. Kantengriff müssen sie trotzdem haben und zu unruhig dürfen sie auch nicht werden.
Freeride Ski die ich mag/mochte:
4FRNT EHP, Armada ARG, Rossi S3, K2 Pontoon, AK Enemy, Seth.
Freeride Ski die ich nicht mochte:
Salomon Rocker, Armada JJ, Dynastar Big Trouble, Dynastar Legend XXL
Powder, Wald, Pistennahes, gewürzt mit Verfahrenem und einem Hauch Piste. So ziemlich alles ausser Deckel und eisigen Bedingungen.
Mächtige Schaufel, fast wie ein kleinerer, besserer Pontoon. Das kommt auf Fotos nicht so rüber. Solide verarbeitet, komplett in CAP Bauweise, 3D Topsheet mit recht auffälligem Design. Den Flex würde ich als "mittel" bezeichnen. Schönes Early Taper (reverse Sektion) an Tip&Tail, Löffeldesign. Kräftiger aber sanft ansteigender Rocker vorne und hinten, aufgebogenes Tail, aber kein Twintip. Relativ kurze effektive Kantenlänge und kleiner Radius (22m) zwischen den recht weit zurück versetzten Kontaktpunkten. Mittelmäßig schwer. Länge fällt "normal" aus.

Auf den ersten Metern Piste stellte sich gleich Vertrauen ein. Der Ski lässt sich sehr einfach fahren und sogar richtig gut carven. Er zickt nicht rum und kann auch durchaus schnell auf der Piste gefahren werden.
Im Powder schwimmt er dank der fetten Schaufel schnell und sehr ordentlich auf. Allerdings war ich erstmal ein wenig ernüchtert, denn der Ski war zwar sehr laufruhig, wollte aber im direkten Vergleich mit meinem EHP nicht so recht ums Eck. Träge war er nicht, aber eben auch nicht so grandios drehfreudig wie mein EHP. Nach ein paar Runs war ich mir fast sicher das wir keine Rechten Freunde werden würden, alles erinnerte mich sehr stark an meinen Pontoon, den ich inzwischen auch nicht mehr so sehr mag. In einer Pause stellte ich dann die Bindung um, so das der Montagepunkt maximal weit vorne lag. Ich denke das wird etwa auf +4 oder +5 vom Standard Montagepunkt sein. Ab dem Moment verhielt sich der Ski komplett anders, drehte nun auf dem sprichwörtlichen Teller. Plötzlich fuhr er sich sehr nah am EHP, nur mit deutlich mehr Auftrieb. Ein schönes Fahrgefühl, absolut idiotensicher, Autopilot. So gings dann stressfrei und mit immer mehr Tempo durch den Wald.

Hierbei machte sich eine ganz leichte Tendenz zum verschneiden bemerkbar. Der Ski war nicht ganz so willig in großen Radien zu fahren, wollte immer eher in kleinere Radien zurück. Dies schiebe ich auf den doch recht kleinen Radius, mit dem man sich die gute Pistentauglichkeit erkauft. So oder so ist es absolut im grünen Bereich.

Im Verfahrenen fuhr sich der Ski sehr solide. Die große Schaufel neigt naturgemäß etwas zum schlagen, aber das wirklich nur minimal und nicht störend. Trotz des kleinen Radius ging der Ski mit ordentlicher Laufruhe über alles drüber und blieb stets drehfreudig. Insgesamt denke ich das er sich auch bei Deckel, Windgepresstem etc. ähnlich geben wird (bzw. weiss von Freunden das dem so ist).

Ein klasse Ski, der wirklich vieles, sehr gut kann. Entspannter kann ein Freeride Ski nicht sein, easy zu fahren, super auf der Piste, drehfreudig und doch tempofest (soweit ich das beurteilen kann). Ein Ski den ich wärmstens weiterempfehlen kann. Für mich klar der bessere JJ, wenn man "Löffeldesigns" mag.
Warum dann nur 4 Sterne?
Einfach deshalb weil er mir im direkten Vergleich mit anderen Skizu viel Kompromiss ist. Im Powder schwimmt er zwar stärker auf als mein EHP, aber a) braucht man das nicht und b) ist er dafür auch nicht ganz so richtungsstabil. Auf der Piste fährt er mega agil dank kleinem Radius, aber wer braucht das schon? Die fette Schaufel erhöht auch unnötigerweise die Schwungmasse und macht den Ski eher untauglich fürs aufsteigen. Alles Kompromisse die für mich nicht sein müssen.
Letztlich ist der Vergleich zwischen Amperage und EHP etwa wie ein Vergleich wie zwischen Pontoon und ARG. Der Amperage ist eher ein schmalerer, besserer Pontoon, während der EHP in entscheidenden Details dem ARG ähnelt. Den Pontoon mag ich nicht mehr so, denn der ARG kann eigentlich nichts wirklich schlechter, ist an den entscheideneden Stellen wie Laufruhe, Drehfreude, Schwungmasse aber besser. Das gefällt mir persönllich einfach noch einen Tick besser.

was allerdings unter aller sau ist, ist der umstand, dass BD den ski europaweit wo wenig verteilt hat, dass man bereits um anfang januar rum keinen 185er ski mehr bekommen konnte...
habe mir einen black crows sevun gekauft, ist noch tempostabiler, etwas weniger spielerisch, aber dementsprechend auch weniger "kompromiss-ski" als der amp, der auch auf piste noch fahrbar ist

Wie Freak und JensR konnte ich den AMPerage diesen Winter auch über einen längeren Zeitraum bei unterschiedlichen Bedingungen fahren. Bis auf staubtrockenen Neuschnee war eigentlich alles vertreten, was der Winter so hergibt.
Der Fahrer
1,92m, 80kg, fährt erst seit dem 16. Lebensjahr Ski, dafür recht häufig (40-50 Tage im Winter) und meist abseits. Kommt eigentlich überall sicher runter, wenn auch mit einem leichten Mangel an Ästhetik.
Andere Ski
Im Keller stehen derzeit:
- Praxis Powderboards in 195
- Völkl Gotma 2010 mit Duke als Tourenski in ca. 194
- K2 Seth 2006/7 in 189
- Dynastar Pro Rider, vermutlich 2006, um 190cm
Generell mag ich eher wendige und spielerische Ski, die einen mittleren Flex haben. Also weder Contestski noch Hellbents, sondern Ski wie den ARG, die Boards, Super 7 oder den alten Seth.
Der Ski
Die technischen Eigenschaften hat Freak ja schon vollständig beschrieben, es wäre sinnlos das zu wiederholen. Ich würde den Ski allerdings als recht lang für 185cm bezeichnen. Zum Vergleich: Neben 185er Powderboards ist der Ski etwa 3cm länger und er ist ca. 5cm kürzer als die 189 K2 Seth, die als lang gelten.
Montageposition
Ich bin den Ski sowohl auf +4 (empfohlenen von JensR) als auch dem Standard-Montagepunkt gefahren. Auf der +4 Position ist der Ski unglaublich wendig und gefällt mir im Wald unglaublich gut. Dabei war ich extrem überrascht, dass der Ski bei "normalem" Powder bei mir nicht zu Tip-Dives neigte. Anfangs war ich da recht skeptisch und sah mich schon auf permanenter Tauchfahrt, da der der Ski nicht besonders lang ist und ich meine Powder Boards auch gerne mal versenke, aber der AMP bleibt recht zuverlässig oben. Das mag bei sehr leichtem Powder anders sein, aber leider konnte ich das nicht testen.
Diese Wendigkeit bei +4 führt dann aber dazu, dass der Ski bei weiten Radien und hoher Geschwindigkeit zum verschneiden neigt. Große Radien mit hoher Geschwindigkeit werden dadurch gleich wesentlich spannender. Das würde ich aber nicht dem Ski ankreiden, sondern auf den Montagepunkt und die Länge zurückführen. Wenn man den Ski auf dem empfohlenen Montagepunkt montiert ist das Geschwindigkeitslimit dann deutlich höher, dafür nimmt die Wendigkeit ab. Mir haben dabei Montagepunkte gefallen und die Rentalbindung macht das verstellen recht einfach, eine normale Bindung würde ich vermutlich auf 1,5 bis 2,0 montieren.
Eindruck
Powder
Wie schon oben beschrieben ist der Ski sehr wendig und schwimmt gut auf. Im Wald kommt man super durch das Gelände und mir macht der Ski dabei einfach viel Spaß. Auf großen Hängen hat der Ski dann, je nach Montagpunkt, ein mehr oder weniger großes Tempolimit. Da das mit meinem eigenen Tempolimit ziemlich gut harmoniert finde ich das aber unproblematisch. Wer mehr Geschwindigkeit will wird eh einen anderen längeren Ski wählen.
Piste
Auf harter Piste verhält sich der Ski meiner Meinung deutlich anders als auf weicher Piste. Bei hartem Schnee ist es schwer damit zu carven, man fängt fast automatisch an zu driften. Ob es am Tail liegt mag ich nicht zu beurteilen, aber der Ski lässt sich recht gut driften und man kommt stressfrei am Lift an.
Bei weichem Schnee lässt sich der Ski meiner Meinung nach sehr gut fahren, wenn man bedenkt wie breit er ist. Es lassen sich dann geschnittene Schwünge mit ziemlich kleinen Radien realisieren, wenn man so etwas mag.
Sonstiges
Deckel lassen sich auch erstaunlich gut mit dem Ski fahren, was deutlich zur Alltagstauglichkeit beiträgt. Dank dem Rocker bleibt das Tip oben und das Fahrverhalten ist nicht viel schlechter als mit einem reverse Sidecut Ski.
Die breite Schaufel stört mich eigentlich nur bei zerfahrenem hartem Schnee. Sie schlägt aber weniger, als ich es erwartet hätte. Für diese Art von Ski ist das ziemlich gut.
Im steilen Gelände ist Konstruktionsbedingt nicht so viel Ski auf dem Schnee, aber die Kante ist griffig und lässt sich gut Kurzschwingen und driften. Nichts für den Contestfahrer, aber für einen Freizeitfahrer wie mich genau richtig.
Haltbarkeit
Der Ski ist nach ca. 50 Tagen Nutzung noch super in Schuss. Der Belag hat keine Core-Shots und nur wenige Kratzer, er wirkt auf mich äußerst solide. Das Top Sheet in Cap Bauweise ist auch sehr kratzerresistent und sieht entsprechend gut aus. Der einzige Makel an dem Ski ist eine minimale Delle in der Kante durch einen Steinkontakt, den man beim Fahren nicht merkt und nur bei genauer Betrachtung sichtbar ist. Möglicherweise ist die CAP Konstruktion etwas anfälliger an der Kante als ein Sandwich/Sidewall Ski, ist aber nur eine Vermutung.
Fazit
Mir gefällt der Ski sehr gut und ich war ziemlich überrascht wie vielseitig der Ski ist. Im Powder und bei leichten Krusten fährt sich der Ski kaum schlechter als die Boards, ohne die Nachteile (Querungen, Ziehwege, wenig Schneekontakt auf harten Oberflächen) zu haben. Bei weichem Schnee macht der Ski sogar auf der Piste Spaß und schlägt sich bei eigentlich allen Bedingungen, auch hartem Schnee, ziemlich gut. Bei der Wahl zwischen dem AMP und meinen Ski würde ich vermutlich an mehr als 60% der Tage zum AMP greifen. Meiner Meinung ist der AMP ein sehr empfehlenswerter Freeride-Ski für die besseren Tage des Winters, wenn man einen wendigen und leicht zu fahrenden Ski sucht.
Noch ein Wort zum EHP: Da ich nie einen gefahren bin kann ich zu den Fahreigenschaften nichts sagen, aber der Belag des AMPs ist deutlich haltbarer. Wer mehr wissen möchte kann gerne mal den Jens auf Belagsschäden und die Belagsdicke seines EHPs ansprechen.
