Hallo,
I hope it's OK if I write in English... I'm in Vienna for an exchange semester and I just started to learn German :)
I'm planning to buy new ski boots before enjoying Austria's great skiing areas, and I want the boots to fit as perfectly as possible.
Do you have any recommendations for good bootfitters near Vienna? Or do you think I should go buy at the mountain?
Thanks in advance!

Hi!
Probably one of the best bootfitters in Austria's east is Edi Matschi in Gaming. Not that close to vienna, but definitely worth the drive. If you want him to fit the boots to your legs directly after buying them, you should call in advance and make an appointment.
Would be on the way to hochkar or ötscher too...

There is a Blue-Tomato Shop in Vienna. They do bootfitting there if I remember correctly. There are better options for sure but you could give it a try.

Thanks for your replies.
I went to Blue Tomato and none of the staff there seemed interested in me... Also there were just 4 different models of boots :/

Yea, they don´t seem to be very competent at Blue Tomato Vienna. It´s all about s!ck ganagta Outfits and "Lifestyle" ::)
As mentioned Intersport Matschi is the only real bootfitter near Vienna.
I´ve no personal experience, but talked with a few guys from USI Wien, which are regular customers. Got mixed Reviews. Some are quite happy with Edis work, others not so much...
Sport Nora and i think Intersport Eybl are doing the Fisher Vakuum Fit stuff. But you have to be very lucky to find a competent Person there ;)
Best Bootfitter i´ve ever run into is Foot Works in Chamonix :)

probably a good thing you where ignored in that blue thing
Matschi is the nearest real bootfitter, think he mostly does head but not shure. nora has been doing strolz for some time, no personal experience but probably the best option inside vienna, but that really isn´t saying anything.
real question is if you have a problematic foot and going to be skiing lots or if your foot is realativly normal. because if you have a problematic foot and want lots of performance your going to have to go there a couple of times. so keep that in mind.
my personal bootfitter is in Altenmarkt, Salzburg, but thats kinda far.

Thanks, I'm gonna check the places suntoucher.
I think I have narrow foot with a lot of arch. Also thin calves, where I get most of the problems. I'm planning to increase the frequency and intensity of my skiing...
I would go to another city like Salzburg once to get the boot, but to go several times for adjustments would not be feasible. So, I'm gonna check if there's a good place in a skiing region where I will be going frequently from Vienna...
