Worried about impending climate change, they are looking for an alternative way to pursue their passion in harmony with nature and experience the mountains in an ecologically sustainable way. Instead of flying around the world in pursuit of snow, they explore the Alps at their doorstep. They travel using public transportation and climb the highest, most impressive peaks on their own before beginning their spectacular descents and jumps. Their thought-provoking comments about the effects of climate change and the fascination and freedom of snowboarding and skiing leave the viewer questioning their own approach to winter sports and everyday life.

Das war ja ein richtiger "Trailer Trailer" :) Gefällt mir sau gut, obwohl ich Urban nur ganz selten sehen will. Das Streicherstück hat auch irgendwie nicht alles geliefert was der Schnitt in dem Moment verlangt hat, aber alleine dafür, dass es relativ untypische Musik war, muss man es eigentlich gut finden. Insgesamt richtig geil finde ich.
Mich macht der Trailer auch richtig richtig gespannt auf den Film. Editing ist für 4bi9 auf einem neuen Level und die Shots sehen echt vielversprechend aus.

Das klingt fast als sei 4Bi9 bisher nicht sehenswert gewesen. :D
Neee das auf keinen Fall, ich bin schon immer ein Fan von denen gewesen, weil einige meiner Lieblingsfahrer in der Crew sind und ich einfach Park/Urban am liebsten mag. Das Editing war bisher aber immer eher AM Niveau, was mich aber nie gestört hat, hab mir die Sachen trotzdem immer sehr gern angesehn. Man merkt aber jetzt, dass die sich seit dieser Saison sehr stark weiterentwickelt haben. Andere Filmproduktionen können ihre vorherigen Filme nicht so leicht auf ein neues Level heben, weil sie vorher schon sehr hoch waren und das ist bei 4bi9 halt etwas anders.

Eine Woche hatten wir Zeit die russische Kultur zu entdecken, aber vor allem den Pulverschnee zu genießen. Wir waren schließlich zum Freeriden hier. Besser gesagt, war ich hier um einen Skifilm über 4 Mädls im sibirischen Powder zu drehen. Diese einmalige Erfahrung möchte ich in meinem Film A siberian fairy tale – 4 girls freeride trip in einer Mischung von Sport und Kultur festhalten.

With „FAR AWAY“ Matthias Haunholder and Matthias Mayr again come up with a extraordinary Big Mountain Freeski Movie. Although the name suggests that the guys travelled the world for this movie, it´s the totally opposite. More than 90% were filmed in Austria. The name is much more a symbol fort he distance between the athletes and their families. Not geographically, but in a emotional way. „There is no greater distance than between a mother and her child that she can´t protect!“ This sentence pretty much says everything about how a Mum must feel when her son rides down vertical faces.
This movie connects parents and kids. While the athletes are riding stunning faces, the parents, wife, siblings talk about how they feel back home.
„Far Away“ is a ski movie, but once again, different to all the others, and very interesting, not only for the ski community

Oh Mann, da blutet einem echt das Herz. Schätze aber eher, dass das der Hund von nem Kameramann oder nem anderen Teammitglied war. Hat ja am Anfang noch unbeeindruckt oben gesessen und gewartet als der Kerl eingedropt ist. Was nichts daran ändert, dass das der schlimmste Mitfühlmoment war den ich je bei nem Trailer hatte... :(

Kann man ja alles gut finden wenn man will, aber ich hab davon schon ziemlich die Nase voll. Was ich ihnen (abgesehen von den Dingen die ich vorher schon als überragend bezeichnet habe) zugute halten muss ist, dass sie unter die Aufnahmen von dem Heli KEIN Rotorblättergeräusch gelegt haben.
Sorry, ich glaub ich bin grad im Hassmodus... :D
So falsch liegste damit meiner Meinung nach gar nicht. Der Trailer ist sick keine Frage und die Aufnahmen sind wie immer ein bisschen besser als im letzten Jahr und auf einem extrem hohen Niveau. Das allein macht aber keinen guten Film und vor allem ist es exakt das gleiche (abgesehen vom technischem Niveau, das aber eben auch in den letzten beiden Jahren sehr hoch war), wie quasi alle Filme der großen Produktionsfirmen in den letzten 2-3 Jahren. Ich persönlich freu mich auch nicht soo unglaub auf Field, MSP, TGR, weil es einfach langweilig geworden ist.
Was mich bei Field vor allem stört, sind die immer gleichen Segmente aus Folgefonna oder wo auch immer das ist mit den Fjord im Hintergrund. Sieht geil aus, wenn man es das erste Mal sieht aber man muss sich schon mal was neues einfallen lassen, außer nen noch größeren Kicker hinzustellen.
:D Ja gut, zugegeben, sind recht flache Aussagen. Aber sonst find ich den Trailer durchaus gut. Bei Shades of Winter haste dann wenigstens deine Heligeräusche :)

Jo, ich hatte ja auch gesagt, dass das Ding wirklich überragend produziert ist. Würde mir den auch anschauen, so ist es ja nicht. Das mit den Heligeräuschen hast du aber missverstanden glaube ich.

Eigentlich isses natürlich ne coole Idee, aber das ganze zu verkaufen find ich auch strange, zumindest wenn davon nichts an die Athleten zurückgeht. Das lässt sich aber nur vermuten, vielleicht gibts ja auch einen Deal. Die Rechte an den Aufnahmen scheinen sie ja zu haben.
Urheberrechte sind in den USA ja sowieso ne komische Sache und auch super schnell mal eben verkauft. Sehe das ähnlich wie du, aber Genaueres weiß man halt nicht. Was ich auch noch ziemlich lustig finde ist, dass "Athletes worldwide" ihre Videos eingereicht haben, und es tatsächlich ein gebürtiger Nicht-Amerikaner in die Auswahl geschafft hat. Nordamerika ist offensichtlich das Maß aller Dinge :D
