Im December wäre das Pitztal in Tirol recht gut oder Charmonix.
Ein guter Tipp ist auch noch St. Luc in der Schweiz, da gibt es gute Big Mountain Lines.

Yeah, Joe - that's actually a great option when you travel alone, I did this 2 years ago for the for the first time and ran into a gang of crazy freeriders that I've been going skiing with ever since whenever time allows. Will be there this year too. Here's the link: http://www.bergwelt-oberstaufen.de/voelkl-camps/voelkl-freeride-opening-2012/index.html -- another real good fun way to go sking with are the guys from Powderhaus (http://www.powderhaus.de/) - they, too, organize all sorts of trips from 3 days to (a) whole week(s) in the usual alpine countries/hotspot, and many participants book individually.
