Hallo,
da mir gestern erneut zwei kostenlose full-length Filme übern den Weg gelaufen sind, dachte ich mir, dass so langsam mal ein Sammelthread angebracht wäre.
Bitte kramt jetzt nicht jeden uralt Film raus. Ich würde vorschlagen alles ab dieser Saison (10/11) sollten wir hier sammeln.
Ich fang mal mit dem meiner Meinung nach besten kostenlosen Film an, den es momentan gibt:

We don't do what we do to inspire others, it's just something we have to do to reach our own goals in life. But becoming good at something we could only dream of being good at and getting the chance to influence those who share our ideas and values about skiing and life is something that we are really grateful for.

OPEN to CLOSE
“Open to Close” is a ski film that demonstrates a multi-layered concept that portrays the aperture of the camera as well as the commitment skiers have towards the sport. The film progresses through chronological order in order to carry viewers through “Open to Close” in respect to the ski season. The film focuses on each month of the season, November through April, and each month contains different athletes. The goal of the project was to create a film that doesn’t mimic other ski films of the past. “Open to Close” is a unique film because it focuses on the beauty of skiing and allows its viewers to gain insight about the amount of time each athlete devotes to a sport they all love.

Awone Again follows a crew of friends which all have the same passion : Freeskiing.
Track them through the deep powder of Switzerland's western backcountry, to the best North-American and Spanish snowparks, passing over different urban environments. This film features their season and how much fun they had during the winter, as fun and pleasure are their only motivation. There's no money involved, only friendship and the passion of shooting tons of slams and teenagers sliding down steep slopes or kinky handrails before getting kicked out.

Our addiction to mountains and rivers has always had us looking north to Alaska, where big fish and mountains existed on a level we had only experienced in our dreams. As the winter of 2012 continued to disappoint in the lower 48, it was obvious that Alaska was being buried in snow. It seemed like the time was right, that maybe after 10 years of "practice" in Utah, we were ready for our journey north. We hit the road in March, putting everything we had into our first and for all we knew, our last adventure to Alaska, with two things on our mind, steelhead and spines.
We joined forces with three of our friends from Utah, for a ski-plane assisted camping expedition in the heart of south eastern Alaska's backcountry. Over 50 miles by wing from the nearest road, our pilot dropped the 5 of us off on a big lonely glacier encircled by jagged mountains, and in the spirit of adventure, wished us good luck. We would need it. From that point on, the feeling of being completely alone in a wild and unknown land for the first time in our lives penetrated every cell in our bodies. Only one person in our group had ever been to Alaska, Chris Coulter. On day 8 when he suddenly left to work in Haines as a heli guide, the feeling of isolation crept deeper into our minds, and it had never felt so good.
We chose to do this trip without any guides, plans, itineraries, or rules simply because we wanted to have our own experience. We wanted it to be raw, unknown, and we wanted it to be an adventure. Of course the style we chose made things much more difficult for us than they could have been, but the feeling of accomplishment was immense. We found glorious spines to ride, and stumbled upon one of the best runs of wild Steelhead in the world. Returning home safely from our first journey to Alaska signified a successful mission, along with the wonderful new memories from the greatest riding and fishing experiences of our lives.

When boarding the plane to Marrakech the girls didn't exactly know what to expect on their exotic skiing trip. Leaving hectic and hot Marrakech behind, they find themselves hiking in the beautiful nature of the Toubkal valley. „Shukran Morocco“ is a declaration of love to a country that offered even more than an impressive mountain range and skiing in the Atlas mountains, including hiking the highest peak of northern Africa and heliskiing in the Toubkal region. Mike Hornbeck spent his entire 2012/13 season filming his own short movie with the intent to release online for free by season's end. Follow him as he travels to British Columbia, Japan, Korea, Sweden, and California. At the end of the season Hornbeck finds himself back in his hometown in Michigan, where he reflectss on all the places he skied and people he met along the way.

I’m Pekka. A 21 years old guy. Injured pretty damn seriously 28.4.2010.
That is a date I remember well, even though I can’t remember anything that happened that day. I have heard some stories from my friends about how it happened: I had yelled from the lift “I go one more time, this’s the last one”, and the last one it was. I did it because the switch doublecork 10′s I had done were a bit unstable. Sw doubles were an easy trick for me, but that day was windy and a really strong blast of wind grasped me and I landed way too far, over-rotating my trick. In the crash, I broke my helmet (the Sweetest black thing, that saved my life), I gained a serious / extremely serious brain injury and sank into a coma for 17 days. Next thing I know, was laying in the hospital, next summer.
The rehabilitating process has been a rough one to me, but I have still been able to rehabilitate myself amazingly fast! The biggest weaknesses the injury brought along are my memory problems, which have fallen away majorly, and balance problems, which have also fallen away pretty much too. The predictions I got from doctors were pretty dark: Will be able to walk in 2 years, might not be able to ski ever again and I don’t know the whole list. But what I do know: walked after about 6 MONTHS after the crash and skied for the first time after 11 months. So that’s the thing in a nutshell, follow my rehabilitation in the blog!

Sag mal kennt einer einen freeski Film, der vor 1 oder 2 Jahren von irgendeiner (hobbie-)Crew aus Europa gedreht wurde in dem sie in einem part an einem güterbahnhof über züge in der nacht springen? :D hab den letztes Jahr gesehen und habe leiderlicherweise den Namen vergessen :S dachte der sei von der freeski Crew aber anscheinend nicht...hoffentlich erkennt einer das Segment wieder erkennt ;)

Last May four Austrian freeskiers and two cameramen went to the Tavan Bogd mountain range bordering Mongolia, China and Russia to hike remote peaks and ski untouched lines.

Through cold and storms, injuries and pain, we managed to make a short movie of what our winter was and our own and unique perception of freeski. Clair de lune is a summary of a whole season of working hard for nothing more than our passion.
It was planned as a normal freeski movie, untill the day we realized we had no time as a crew of students to make a complete long movie. From this came the idea to make a short, but unique movie about the winter of the Twobees Media crew.
We busted our asses off during the cold nights of winter to provide the best looking stunt shots. The crew was always willing to go hit urban and try over and over even if the past session went wrong. With determined skier full or resilience, we managed to get a few shots of the skiers doing what they do best the way they do it best. Sometimes our courage and determination would get a hit after two or three failed spots in a row, and then we would hit a bar and get our mind off skiing.
Was there Pain, yes; injuries, of course; fun, depends; but it all summed up to something we are proud of. Clair de Lune.

For those prepared to forego the common precepts of 'adventure', Arctic mountaineering requires dedication into topographical research and desire for something that is real and committing.
Director Henrik Rostrup chronicles the adventure of European alpinists Edurne Pasarban, Erwan Le Lann and Martial Dumas, as they set sail on a 10-day expedition onboard the sailboat 'La Louise'.
Sailing and climbing in these areas have not been explored much, it's strange and gorgeous. The skipper, Thierry Dubois is no stranger to these waters, having completed many solo races around the world. He completes the list of the films main characters and provides a perfect balance to the narrative of the story.
From the start of the film, each scene seamlessly echoes back and forth between images of the surreal mountains in Greenland. The climbers are older, wiser and more reflected of their past adventures. Edurne, fresh off her incredible feat of being the first woman to climb all fourteen 8000 meter peaks in the world, tells us of her life story, while Erwan and Martial seek out new first ascents along the coastline, climbing, mountaineering and ski touring. Geil :) Die Story gab's doch vor 1 1/2 Jahren in der Downdays. Waren großartige Fotos dabei, und der Film jetzt kann auch was. Stellenweise ein bisschen komisch, und ein richtiger Sprecher wäre auch nicht verkehrt gewesen, insgesamt aber ziemlich geil. Nice!
