Guten Abend,

I was thinking of going down to the alps for a week of Freeriding. Im going to go alone so I need some tips of organizations/companies that arrange freeride weektrips. I have been doing some research but most of those weeks are in februari or fully booked for january. Im aiming to go week 4 (20-27 of jan) and would be delighted if you guys can come up with some suggestions...

Hi Joe,

I can recommend two companies.

http://www.dammkar.de/vivalpin/garmisch/de/index.htm

This is the company I have done my avalache camp with.
Their focus is on alpine touring, but the do also offer freeride camps and weeks. They are know for having very good alpine guides (Bergführer). We have had a great time with them and I would recommend them.

These guys are well know as enthusiastic freeriders. They have a shop in Weinheim for years now. They organize trips in many destinations of the alps. Mostly Italy and Switzerland.

Both are guys I know and can truly recommend. There are many other suppliers I guess would do a good job too, but as I don't know them do not recommend to you. Have a great time in the alps!

btw: Where are you from?

Hey Joe!
What about going to Switzerland, e.g. Engelberg or Andermatt, which are really famous for Freeskiing... You can book Freeride trips at the local ski schools. Week 4 should be a good choice, in february, all the resorts are full of tourists.
Or are you planning in skinning up? Then I would recommand any mountaineering company :)
Cheers

I can recommend Jochen Reiser and Paul Zrost as Guides. I know them both personally. Fun guys with a lot of experience.
